There are two annual World Championships; the Drivers' and Constructors' World Championships. Points earned by the drivers and constrcutors at each race determin who is the eventually winner, the driver and team with the most points winning. The drivers are required to hold a valid Super Licences, the highest class of racing licence issued by the FIA, in order to compete. The Drivers compete is specially designed cars which have to meet a series of Technical and Safety Regulations. The formula has radically evolved and changed through the history of the sport, allowing constant technological improvement of the cars.
